My life has truly been blessed by these girls' friendship. We all knew each other in different ways, going back to three years old for some of the girls. But freshman year of high school we all clicked and became inseparable. Nearly every weekend was spent at one house or another, at the movies, the beach. We learned to drive, fell for a boy or two, had our hearts broken, found love and have truly grown up together.
Coincidentally, our birthdays are all within 5 weeks of each other. Every year we do something to make sure we celebrate. In high school it was sleepovers (although I still love a good slumber party now too). For 18 we spent a week in Palm Springs, 21 was pool lounging and a night on the town in San Diego, and last year we spent a weekend in Big Bear, CA. This year we are turning 25, and considering one of our "four" moved to New York for grad school, it only made sense for the three of us in California to visit.
We plan to see the big sights like the Statue of Liberty...
the Empire State Building...
the Brooklyn Bridge...
walking through Central Park...
And just spend hours walking, shopping, talking, and enjoying each other's company.
I've been once before, about three years ago, and LOVED it. April cannot come soon enough.
Any other suggestions/must sees that would make your list?

Oh man! How exciting. I know you will all have a wonderful time. :) I have always wanted to go to NYC and to spend it with your friends will make it even more amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so excited for you! I lived in New York for 2 years after college and I still miss it. You have to go to the Harney and Sons tea shop--a tea lover's paradise! It's in Soho and it's adorable. You can drink tea in the cafe, or just sample different varieties at the tea bar in the front and buy your favorites. The tea is literally stacked floor to ceiling!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a blast :)
Have fun & take lots of pictures!
